Salesman
Description: The Salesman is responsible for meeting quarterly and fiscal sales goals, maintaining current customer relationships, sourcing and developing new customer relationships, and expanding the company market presence within the motorsports, medical, hospitality, and corporate display industries. Travel to specific industry trade shows, motorsports events, automotive and motorcycle events and other customer locations will be required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Previous sales and marketing experience within a high-end custom design, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Self motivated.
- High mechanical aptitude and understanding of physical space requirements to be able to work with engineers and designers through project phases.
- Computer experience including MS Word, Excel, etc.
- Must be comfortable, productive, and willing to work in a wide range of environments from corporate board rooms, race track pit areas, horse shows, to truck shows.
- Special consideration to candidates with experience in the automotive after market, motorsports, or similar relative industries.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales of vehicles for motorsports, medical, hospitality, and corporate display industries.
- Maintain positive customer relationships.
- Develop new customer relationships.
- Document all sales correspondences and present regular sales logs to management.
- Represent the company at industry specific trade shows and special events.
- Research new industries / markets / customers to expand business profile.
- Develop and adhere to marketing plans and budgets.
- Develop input and data for creating and maintaining marketing strategies.
- Work with management and engineering staff on all new product development.
